THE BRIEF
Knead required Easter packaging for their traditional hot cross bun six packs that would feel distinctive in store while remaining practical for everyday bakery service. The design needed to reflect the rich, buttery character of the buns while stacking neatly behind the counter and carrying easily for customers on the way home.
APPROACH
The design centres on a rich buttery yellow, chosen as a visual reflection of the indulgent qualities of Knead’s hot cross buns. Bold yet refined typography wraps around the box, creating presence and movement while maintaining the delicate sensibility of the brand. The result is a packaging design that feels expressive yet restrained.
OUTCOME
The box structure balances practicality with a subtle sense of fashion. A built-in handle makes it easy to carry, giving the format the quiet elegance of a handbag while remaining robust enough for busy bakery use. Designed to stack efficiently for retail display and takeaway service, the final Easter packaging feels simple, confident and unmistakably Knead.
