Brand identity for Perks & White, an independent group of cafes in South London. A crisp monotone system created to build visibility and differentiation, applied across packaging, signage, print and digital, designed to feel understated, confident and neighbourhood led.

A crisp monotone brand identity creates visibility for Perks & White, an independent group of cafes in South London.

Perks & White identified a gap in the market for an independent, consciously run coffee service. They wanted to contribute to, and support their local neighbourhood - giving back to a community they had lived in for over 20years. The challenge was how to differentiate Perks & White’s service from other hospitality providers in the area.

The idea was simple. Great food and coffee, sourced locally, employing local people, supporting the local community and economy. The simplicity of this ethos and concept was run throughout the brand identity in a minimal and pared-back approach. A reductive visual system was developed, using a bold monotone palette with a clean and simple typographic style. This was run across multiple brand touchpoints; print media, signage, packaging, brand merchandise and website design.
